Alzheimers Dementia Support

Alzheimers Dementia Support

About Us:

Alzheimers Dementia Support ‘ADS’ is an independent local charity providing practical guidance and a range of support services to those directly or indirectly affected by Dementia in Maidenhead, Ascot, Windsor and Slough.

Your Support:

As we do not receive any government funding and are not affiliated with or run by any other national charities, we rely heavily on the generosity of individuals, groups and businesses in and around the communities we serve.

Every donation we receive goes directly to helping local people with dementia. With your help we can continue to support those affected by dementia in your community. Your donation is a direct investment in the wellbeing of your community - you will have the ability to see its impact directly.

However you want to raise funds, you can do it your way: you can create a personal fundraising page, you can join an existing group or you can join one of our events.

We appreciate your support to raise our fundraising target this year, any contributions are greatfully received.

Thank you!

Why This Matters:

Living with Dementia, can create a sense of alienation and isolation. Our Services are designed to help People with Dementia in our local community develop and maintain relationships with others and improve their wellbeing and in doing so the wellbeing of our wider community. We also provide support services and advise for Carers, with the aim of creating an improved sense of community and support for all.

We have an intimate understanding of the needs of our local people affected by Dementia, and utilise our knowledge to make a meaningful difference. We meet these needs through services such as Singing for Pleasure, Mooves and Grooves, Seated Exercises, Out and About, Connection Café, Ladies that Lunch/ Mates with Plates as well as by providing advise from our Dementia Advisors for example in one-to-one or group sessions. Our expert advise is focussed on improving well-being, support with daily struggles, signposting, referrals to other agencies and giving companionship.
